This is the Hope Team
Hugely passionate about helping young people in need, meet the brilliant team at Hope Support Services! If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to them directly.

Lorna
Operations Manager/Designated Safeguarding Lead
Having joined the team back in 2013, it’s been a privilege to see so many young people receive the vital support they need at such a difficult time.
I have seen Hope grow from a charity with a small core of young people in Ross on Wye to an organisation supporting children across the UK – testament to the passion of all the staff who have been part of our team over the years.
When I’m not playing with spreadsheets or attempting to be witty on the Instagram page, I can usually be found looking for flights to places I haven’t been before or playing (badly) in a pinball league…

Kate
Youth Services Manager
I’ve had a successful 24 year career in policing and frontline children’s services – I’ve managed both police and civilian teams for approximately 14 years, in a range of busy and high pressure environments.
I am adept in Safeguarding and case management and have worked in and supervised a variety of roles some involving death and bereavement and aftercare of families and victims. I am a trained restorative justice facilitator.
I am committed to managing, mentoring and motivating my team in order to assist them in offering the best possible service to our service users and their families.

Louise
Fundraising Manager
After Oxford University and a career in tech and the arts, I am excited to be raising funds for the important work being done by everyone here at Hope. I’m amazed every day by the dedication and talent of the entire team, and privileged to learn about the huge difference our work can make in the lives of young people and their families, and I’m so, so grateful to all the people and organisations who help to support our work. On the personal side, I recently moved to Hereford, and I have two daughters plus a border collie puppy that keep me busy when I’m not at work, and I love to sing in choirs and knit badly!

Marsha
Local Liaison Officer (Wales)
I have extensive experience working in the charity sector in Wales and England, including within cancer support and hospice charities.
I bring a strong background in supporting families, as well as experience of developing and establishing charitable services.

As a PGCE trained teacher I have been fortunate to work with and support children of all ages, creating a nurturing environment while encouraging creativity, growth and resilience.
When I experienced grief aged eight, Hope wasn’t around to provide the support that was needed. I am so excited to be working with Hope so I can contribute to the life-changing support they provide.
I am a very proud cat mum to Edie and Otis, and nothing makes me happier than a cuppa and a colouring book!

I have worked at Hope Support for 3 years and love it. I work face-to-face doing groups, one-to-ones and activities. Before this I worked in a local hospice for approx. 12 years part- and full-time supporting children and young people who had somebody in their family with a life limiting illness.
I have counselling skills, and can also provide bereavement support for children and young people. I love socialising and going out for coffee and I love a good book.

My passion for psychology and mental health has followed me throughout most of my life. After completing my degree in Clinical Psychology, I am proud to work for Hope to provide children and young adults with the support they need during emotionally challenging times; applying the knowledge and skills that I have gained in education and the empathy that I have.
In my spare time I focus on my health by lifting weights and dancing. However, you can always find me in Lidl, getting a cheeky bakery item!

I am a recent graduate with a degree in Clinical Psychology, passionate about supporting young people facing the emotional challenges of having a loved one with a serious illness. With a background in psychological research and practice, I bring a compassionate, evidence-based approach to helping young individuals navigate the complex emotions that come with illness in the family.
I am dedicated to providing tailored support to help young people build resilience and find a sense of community. I’m committed to ensuring that no young person has to face the struggles of caregiving, grief, and uncertainty alone.

I’ve always had a passion for working with children and young people; I worked as an SEN teaching assistant in school, providing individualised care and education to vulnerable young people. I also worked at a Hospice, providing care for the patients and their families – gaining the knowledge of how to support young people when someone they love is diagnosed with a life limiting illness. I am currently studying a foundation degree in counselling.
I am a proud Mum to two gorgeous little boys, and a Step-Mum to two beautiful girls, who all keep me smiling. In my spare time you’ll find me splashing in puddles with my boys or enjoying a coffee and cake.

Supporting young people has always been at the heart of my work and I am passionate about helping them navigate difficult times and build resilience. This has led me to want to work with Hope, to enable all young people to have the help they need when they need it the most.
Most recently, I worked in a primary school role where I served as both Pastoral Lead and Safeguarding Lead and my background also includes Family Support work and working with pupils with Autism.
I’m a proud mum to two wonderful teenage daughters, and we love spending time outdoors with our dogs and ponies. I also enjoy photography and yoga to relax.
